Privacy policy
Pawlish Grooming Studio (“Pawlish”, “we”) runs this website and the studio at 1420 E 6th St, Austin, TX. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
Booking requests: your name and phone number, your pet’s name, breed and weight, the service and date you prefer, and anything you add in the notes field.
Newsletter sign-ups: your email address.
Visit records: vaccination records, grooming notes and the photos we take of your pet during appointments.
Site analytics: pages viewed, device type and approximate location, collected without advertising cookies.
How we use it
We use your details to confirm and manage appointments, text you when your pet is ready, keep care notes and vaccination records on file, run the Fresh Coat Club, and send our monthly newsletter if you signed up for it. We never sell your information or share it with advertisers.
Who else sees it
Only the services we need to run the studio: our website host and form provider, our booking and text-message tools, and our newsletter service. Each handles your data on our behalf and may not use it for anything else.
How long we keep it
Client and pet records are kept while you are a client and for two years after your last visit, then deleted. Newsletter addresses are removed as soon as you unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of every email.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you and your pet at any time. Email hello@pawlish.studio and we will reply within 30 days.
Terms of service
By booking with Pawlish or using this website you agree to these terms. They describe how the studio actually works, and our FAQ says the same things in fewer words.
Appointments and cancellations
Booking requests are confirmed by text. There is no deposit, and changes or cancellations are free up to 24 hours before your appointment. If something comes up later than that, call or text us and we will do our best to move you.
Vaccinations and health
Dogs need current rabies, DHPP and bordetella; cats need rabies and FVRCP. Please tell us about medical conditions, skin problems, recent surgery or any history of biting before the groom. If we spot fleas, a health concern or real distress, we stop, call you, and agree the next step together.
Matting and coat condition
Prices assume a maintained coat. De-matting costs $10–20 and is always agreed with you first. When a coat is matted close to the skin, the kindest option is usually a shorter clip, and we will explain why before we start.
Touch-up guarantee
Not happy with the cut? Tell us within 7 days and we will fix it free of charge.
Photos
We sometimes share photos of freshly groomed pets on our website and social media. We never include your name or contact details, and we will leave your pet out if you ask.
Our responsibility
Our groomers are fear-free certified and take every reasonable care. Grooming can reveal skin or health issues that were hidden under the coat, and we will always tell you what we find. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Texas or US law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the current version.
Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to book a groom, read our tips and find the studio, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
What we have done
Readable text sizes and colour contrast, with a layout that adapts to phones, tablets and desktops.
Descriptive alt text on photos and headings in a logical order.
Animations reduced automatically when your device asks for reduced motion.
A visible label on every field of the booking form.
Getting to the studio
If getting to the studio is difficult for you, tell us when you book and we will work out the easiest drop-off and pick-up.
